I've my settings these that my e-mails never get marked read right after clicking on them/viewing them inside the reading pane. I choose they remain undread till I simply click that I have read it or reply to it. The prior Variation of Outlook marked an e mail as "read" if I replied to it, but that may be no more taking place And that i tend not to
